On 6 June 2026, the Sanjan Nagar Institute of Philosophy & Arts (SIPA), in collaboration with RSpace, hosted a special screening of Hima Remembers in memory of our founder, Raza Kazim.

The docudrama traces the life of Hima, Raza’s mother, through a rich tapestry of personal anecdotes, letters, and reflections that illuminate both her individual journey and the broader cultural and historical landscape of her time. Through its intimate storytelling, the film explores themes of memory, identity, displacement, and the enduring influence of lived experience across generations.

Following the screening, attendees participated in an informal discussion, sharing reflections on the film and engaging with questions surrounding remembrance, cultural continuity, and the importance of preserving personal and collective histories. The conversation highlighted the role of storytelling and documentary film in fostering deeper understanding of the past while encouraging meaningful dialogue in the present.
